Cape Town arrivals, sort of

I’m in Cape Town now, I’m supposed to travel with our 8 other folks that work on our school-building projects but the five Brennans are stuck in Washington DC, Robynwas rerouted through Amsterdam, and Tammie was delayed tonight. Only one, Bob, is arriving when and where he was supposed to. I hope this doesn’t set a pattern for the next five weeks!

I had a good talk on the plane from Johannesburg from a guy who works with rural medical clinics in Africa. He likes our model of 10% downpayment from a village matched by 90% donor contribution. The village has buy-in, and the donor knows they’ll take care of things. He was also intrigued to talk about the uneven “availability” of health insurance for Americans. 🙂
