A few days out of Internet range, but in a different range of spirit and emotion and experience. We spent a day at Lake Malawi, and a wonderful afternoon at Chancellor College in Zomba, Malawi. Yesterday we visited schools and libraries near Balaka who have been recipients of Books for Africa books. They were so pleased to recognize me from last year! Overnight at Mua Mission, and today back in Lilongwe, where my first group left for home and our new group arrived. Unfortunately our terrible luck with South African Airways continues – Five of our nine travelers (Jeff and Del Nelson, Mary Jo Stangl, Scott Hartzell, and Norma Jean Falink) were bumped on their overbooked flight from Johannesberg to Lilongwe and are spending the night in Johannesberg. What a shame to miss a day in Malawi!

Tell Mary Jo I said hi and I’m sorry to hear there were bumped but I’m sure they’re still enjoying every minute.
